Stoevring, Denmark, Oct 11 2019 - Lockheed Martin today formally recognized completion of work to enhance the NATO-interoperability of unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) produced by Aalborg-based Sky-Watch A/S, improving the potential for new sales internationally.

Through the sharing of knowledge and information and integration of Lockheed Martin’s UAV ground control software (VCSI), which can simultaneously control multiple UAV types, operating anywhere on Earth, Sky Watch UAVs are now fully compliant with common NATO standards for operational and technical procedures used by all alliance members.

Sky-Watch A/S expects that joint capability demonstrations, with Lockheed Martin ground control software integrated into its mini-UAV solutions, could take place in Denmark as early as next year.

“I am excited by the result of this co-operation, which not only strengthens our ability to offer UAV solutions to NATO members and their allies but also highlights our ability to work with global industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, the world’s biggest aerospace and defense company,” said Martin Schousboe, chief executive officer, Sky-Watch A/S.
